India Today quoted Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) G Madhu of Siddipet in its report that a student from a village in Dubakka Mandal was taken to the Government Hospital in Siddipet by her mother after she fell ill. Medical examination revealed that she was pregnant. After this, officials of Bharosa Kendra were informed and detailed information was collected from the girl.
Three youths accused of gang rape
The victim’s family has accused three youths, including one from Dubakka mandal and two from Akbarpet-Bhumpalli mandal, of gangrape. It is alleged that in March and April, these people used to visit the girl’s house repeatedly when her mother was not present. They allegedly used deception to lure the girl and sexually assaulted her several times. In fact, the girl’s father is dead and her mother is a labourer and these people used to come when the mother used to go out of the house for work.
The accused were taken into custody by the police
The truth came to light when the girl complained of stomach pain, after which her mother took her to a government hospital, where it was found that the girl was pregnant. After the girl’s mother lodged a complaint with the police, a case has been registered against the accused under the POCSO Act in the local police station. Taking action on this, the police have taken them into custody on Sunday (08 September).
